We have our own equipment, which is suitable for all age groups.

We have our own equipment please do not bring your own onto the site.

Crate Stacking

How high can you balance on crates? Challenging whilst harnessed and on a belay system.

Auto Belay Tower

4 different challenging climbs available on an automatic belay system.

Tomahawks

We start with Angels for you to practice your throwing technique and gain confidence safely and correctly.
If the instructor is happy with your ability, we then move on to Tomahawks.

Grass Sledging

Have fun Tobogganing on our special sledges down Ebury Rise.

All Terrain Boards

A cross between snowboarding and skateboarding

Turf Boards

A cross between a skateboard and a grass sledge.

Water Slide

Caving

Homemade caving system to create a challenging experience for the Cubs/Brownies and above age groups.

Orienteering

A permanently marked course is laid out on the site and maps are available from the site office.

Animal Trail

Can you find all the animals around the site? Maps are available from the site office.

Bikes

Available to hire for onsite or offsite use.

Assault Course

The basic elements of this activity are permanently set up an area of woods on the site – additional elements ~ nets, ladders, ropes, etc, ~ will be added to this when the course is booked.

Under 8’s Play Area

For under 8’s only, Park Equipment for them to use some energy in a fenced off area.

Pioneering

A quantity of poles are available – please ask the Campsite Manager. You have to supply your own ropes.

Bivouacking

Welcome at any time of the year but nothing to be cut down except for ferns.
Please ensure that bivouacs are properly dismantled and disposed of.

BOOKING NOTES

Instructors
All Instructors provided by Rhydd to supervise or lead an adventurous activity session for “Groups” will hold the appropriate qualification for the booked activity as required in POR. They are all volunteers with limited availability.

Groups who wish to use their own instructors to run an activity session must provide proof of their qualifications to the Campsite Manager prior to the session taking place.

Misbehaviour during any activity will not be tolerated and the Instructor has the right to withhold instruction to the Group. It is the Groups responsibility to supervise & occupy young people who are not actively involved in the “booked” activity.

Bookings
Must be made via OSM at least two weeks before your visit/camp to enable us to find instructors for your activity to take place, bookings received after this time will be accepted, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to find instructors on short notice.

Weather
All activities are subject to weather conditions, if the instructor declares the weather to be unsuitable for your activity we will try to re-schedule as best we can.
